Monday, October 10th, 2011I have a thing for drawing peacocks. I know it is a little odd, but there are much weirder things under the sun than doodling peacocks. And that is really all that I do. I am just a doodler, not an artist per say. But my peacocks are pretty handsome. People ask me to decorate birthday cards with a peacock. I have also learned how to draw peahens, so I can make a whole flock of peacocks, including the little grey chicks. It is a great way to pass time when I am bored or when I have to sit still for long periods of time, like on a plane or on the train that I take to work every day.
My daughter gave me an extremely thoughtful gift recently. It is a set of very nice business pens that are in different colors. There is a purple, blue and green pen in addition to the black pen, so now I can add wonderful color highlights to the peacocks.
